Council is working on the expansion of the public EV charging network, following a regional mapping exercise in coordination with other Councils from the region through the South East Councils Climate Change Alliance (SECCCA). This work highlighted strategic locations for fast EV charging infrastructure in Kingston to be rolled out over the next 8 years. Council will be engaging with the market soon to develop the most appropriate solutions for this planned expansion.

Description

The exact numbers, dates, and locations of EV chargers will be confirmed subject to the outcome of the Expression of Interest process, however the following phased rollout is proposed:

Phase 1 of EV Charging Rollout of up to 12 locations: July 2024 – 2026.

Phase 2 of EV Charging Rollout of up to 6 locations: 2027– 2030.
