A48Facilitate emission reduction activities in the industrial and business sector

Council’s Zero Emissions Business Lead continues to make made significant progress engaging with large manufacturing businesses with large energy loads (160 MWh/year plus). In the last 6 months total of 3,100 MWh electricity savings and 5,230 GJ of natural gas savings has been identified. This equates to over 3,800 tCO2e savings / year and cost savings of $780,700 for local businesses. In addition, up to 3,455kW of solar PV of has been proposed, which equates to savings of over 3,400 tC02e/ year (proposed).
