Council’s Zero Emissions Business Lead continues to make made significant progress engaging with large manufacturing businesses with large energy loads (160 MWh/year plus). In the last 6 months total 5,525 GJ of natural gas savings has been identified. This equates to over 1,470 tCO2e savings / year and cost savings of $315,00 for local businesses. In addition, an additional 400kW of solar PV of has been proposed.
