Council will build on existing relationships and, when appropriate, advocate for business to go beyond mandatory requirements and adopt ‘climate risk disclosure and net zero planning’ as standard practice

Description

Businesses within Kingston will be required to report under new climate-related disclosure requirements in the next few years.

Entities which meet certain thresholds will need to prepare a sustainability report in addition to the existing directors report, financial report, and auditors report included in their annual financial report.

Council will continue to provide relevant information and support to businesses.
