Via the South East Melbourne Manufacturer's Alliance (SEMMA), Council has been advocating for better electricity deals via Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for businesses. Kingston aims to promote wholesale demand response for local businesses along with support for digitisation of manufacturing. Council also organises Sustainability Breakfasts for local businesses involving presentations from various industry and research bodies such as Australian Industry Group (AiG), CSIRO and South East Water. In 2023, Greater South East Melbourne (GSEM) and SECCCA commissioned a 'Roadmap to Net Zero Emissions' which recommended that individual business cases are developed to determine the least cost abatement and optimal investment choices for larger and more complex buildings/facilities.
