Council continues to support the delivery of zero waste events by enforcing: no single use plastics as give aways; no plastic straws or cutlery, vendors / food sellers only being able to use ‘compostable food packaging'; and waste free messaging. In 2025, Green My Plate supported Council to reduce single-use food packaging at Carols by Kingston
