Council is supporting and providing education for the community about the importance of biodiversity.

Description

Kingston libraries and hubs host a range of community education sessions. Each year 100's of community members attend sessions focused on gardens for wildlife and sustainability more broadly.

Kingston also delivers an annual free plant giveaway. In 2024 more the 570 residents registered.

In September 2024 Council's Biodiversity Strategy was adopted. Establishment of an Environment Education Centre within Kingston by 2029 is identfied as a priority action.
