Twenty-eight sites have been fully electrified as part of planned or reactive maintenance works, 19 switchboards have been upgraded (to facilitate future site needs including electrification) and 9 electric hot water services have been installed as part of partial site electrification.

Description

Council's electrification roadmap details our transition away from gas where technically and operationally feasible. Council is focusing on gas heaters and boilers first followed by domestic water heating and cooking.

In 2025, seven sites, based on age, efficiency, return on investment and emission reduction have been selected for electrification.
