Transitioning Kingston businesses to circularity in their processes and business models started with offering the ASPIRE online tool aimed at diverting waste from landfill and providing alternative inputs to manufacturing processes. Building on this awareness, an online capacity building program " Circular Advantage" has been offered to businesses. Through the Kingston Sustainable Business Network, businesses have had access to a range of information sessions and knowledge sharing opportunities to develop circular economy roadmaps and transition their business models from linear to circular. Environmental Upgrade Finance has been made available to businesses to assist with reducing the costs of their utilities and improve their site operations. Opportunities for partnerships and shared knowledge has commenced with the Netherlands Waste & Circular Economy specialists to share practices and procedures to assist businesses to transition to circularity. Monash University Business School has provided seminars and workshops to Kingston manufacturing businesses to assist with understanding circular economy principles and practice.
