Council is facilitating onsite power generation via the development of business cases for businesses. Council is also looking at Micro Grids and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) options for larger warehouses. Where roof structures are not suitable for solar PV, solar carparks are being explored. Council is investigating sourcing renewable energy from compact wind turbines for sites with large after-hours usage.

Description

In the last 6 months up to 3,455kW of solar PV of has been proposed, which equates to a saving of over 3,400 tC02e/ year (proposed).
