Kingston's Zero Emission Business Lead is currently providing energy efficiency and decarbonisation advice to larger Kingston businesses and has developed business cases which include the utilisation of existing funding sources, grants and incentives to demonstrate cost-effective decarbonisation. A detailed plan to future proof business and industry has been developed aimed at accelerating their move towards a decarbonised future.

Council’s Zero Emissions Business Lead has made significant progress engaging with large manufacturing businesses with energy loads of 160 MWh/year and will continue to develop initiatives that link these businesses with experts.

In the last 6 months, over 1,470 tonnes of CO2e savings / year have been identified.

In addition, up to 400 kW of solar PV of has been proposed, which equates to a saving of over 540 tC02e/ year (proposed).
