Council will develop and deliver a Climate Adaptation Plan. As part of SECCCA, Council has advocated to the Federal and State Governments to significantly increase regional investment focused on the creation of 'greener, cooler, more liveable cities and zero carbon buildings.'

Council has:

- Commenced Council’s Coastal Climate Change Hazard and Risk Assessment, to understand and prepare for coastal impacts from climate change

- Commenced research of an approach to achieve a Council-wide climate risk assessment and climate adaptation and resilience framework

- Participated in Victoria’s Climate Resilient Councils (VCRC) program, developing tools and resources for Councils working on climate risk assessments and adaptation and resilience planning
