Work is ongoing to establish a community advisory group aimed at open, two-way communication.

In May 2025 Council ran two workshops aimed at connecting like-minded members of the community, building capacity, developing community-focused projects and reducing emissions.

In March 2024, Council delivered an EV industry co-design workshop involving a range of stakeholders including United Energy, Kingston’s Distribution Network Service Provider.

In June 2024, the local development community was surveyed to ensure information and support is targeted and appropriate.

Throughout 2023/24, 'net zero' was the focus of Council’s new Representative Community Panel and Collaborative Engagement Group.

Council’s Zero Emissions Business Lead continues to engage with the Kingston's business community.
