As part of SECCCA, Council has advocated to the Federal Government to remove the Fringe Benefit Tax on EVs to create more equitable access to vehicle purchasing and remove the luxury car tax threshold for EVs.

Description

Council supports advocacy through:

  • The Victorian Government and feedback on the EV Charging Roadmap Refresh
  • The Council Alliance for a Sustainable Built Environment (CASBE) Proposed Planning Scheme Amendment which includes planning requirements for EV infrastructure in new developments
  • The EV Council and recommendations for National Construction Code 2025 amendments for better EV charging infrastructure
  • Priority (high, medium, low)
